• To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Clare McMahon in her pursuit of Collegiate Golf. I have worked with Clare on her golf game the past 4 years and I have watched her grow as a person and as an athlete.

Clare is a goal oriented, dedicated and self-motivated individual. She has an uncanny characteristic of rising to the occasion and being at her best when the best is needed. Her competitive nature makes her an outstanding performer under pressure. I have seen this first hand prior to an event and during. She also displays sportsmanship and is an excellent role model. Clare is a tremendous leader and being an older sister she understands the importance of leading by example. She works hard on her game year round, which in this climate is not always easy to do but that shows me the desire and commitment she has to get to the next level.

This past summer Clare had a season where the wins just kept piling up as did her confidence. As we all know these are vital components in the game of golf. Clare has the all-around game and I can't wait to see what she will continue to do in College Golf.

As an ex-touring professional golfer of 14 years and having had the opportunity to play college golf at the NCAA Division I level, I believe Clare epitomizes what a student/athlete should be. She possesses the qualities necessary to excel in college and her future career. I give her my highest recommendation with no reservations.

    Sincerely,

    Brett Bingham

  • To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Dale Henderson, I teach at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School. I am writing this letter on behalf of Clare McMahon. I have known Clare since September 2013. I have coached and observed her grow over these last two years.

From a personal point of view I have had the opportunity to see Clare mature as an individual. It has been a nice process to see. She has made a very strong commitment to her academics. Clare has taken the challenge of an academic student and performed very well-she is an honour level student. I know in her classes she is a contributing hard working student, who is respected by her peers.

In her two years at Notre Dame, Clare has contributed in a major way to our Golf program, qualifying both years for the Provincial Tournament. In grade 10 as a rookie she finished in the top 10 (9th) in the province. This past year she improved to 6th, I have no doubt that the best is yet to come from her. Clare works hard year round to improve her game.

I believe that Clare has the right attitude to succeed at whatever path she chooses. I am honoured to recommend Clare to any institution or for any scholarship opportunities.

    Sincerely,

    Dale Henderson

  • Dear College Coaches,

I would highly recommend Clare McMahon to you as a very good golfer. Her game is improving very quickly. She hits the ball very well off the tee and has good length. Clare is a very tall and athletic girl that is only going to get longer as her swing improves. She also is a solid iron player and her short game is very good. She is a hard worker and has the attitude to become a great player. She is one of the top players on the Junior Circuit in Alberta, Canada.

I have known Clare since she was twelve years old. Clare is an incredible person that will be a great addition to any college team. She has a good attitude and is very outgoing and would represent your college team very well. She comes from a golfing family. Her grandfather, parents, aunt and uncle own two golf courses in Alberta, Canada. Thus she has a good understanding and respect for the game as a player and also as a person who has worked and grown up on a golf course. She will be respectful of the courses you play and take care of the courses. She is very good player but an even better person and she will make you proud to have her on your team.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Clare and her golf game. I am a teaching and touring pro at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Southern California.
